Since 1969, the International Wine and Spirit Competition is the premier competition of its kind in the world.

Its aim is to promote the quality and excellence of the world's best wines, spirits and liqueurs. All our wines, spirits and liqueurs are blind tasted in groups divided by variety, region and vintage as necessary. The Technical and Judging Committee exists to give independent assurance to the I.W.S.C. Board of the quality; integrity; accuracy and impartiality of the assessment of products entered for the competition each year. Members provide expertise in all the Competition's product categories and disciplines and must be independent of the competition, as is the chair, to avoid the potential for conflicts of interest. With Guildhall refurbishments complete the awards presentation & banquet returns to its home in one of the most prestigious buildings in the City of London where winners of National and International Trophies receive their awards.
